Kaarla Restaurant and Bar, the mod-Australian restaurant shares the space with Oumi, a modern Japanese Kappo restaurant at 51st floor of CapitaSpring. Kaarla meaning ‘where the home fires burn’ focuses on the cuisine from Australia’s coast. Helmed by Executive Chef John-Paul Fiechtner aka “JP” who has 20 years of experience and growing up on his hometown farm in Queensland.

The restaurant puts the spotlight on ‘Coastal Australian’ produce which represents the bounty of seafood and agriculture along the coastal regions of this giant island continent and use of fire as the central to the craft. [OSAKA EATS] The 5 CM Katsudon Chiyomatsu by Former Sumo Wrestler at Dotonbori Main Store Osaka

Katsudon Chiyomatsu is a popular katsudon shop opened by former sekitori ( sumo wrestler). It is known for its special 5cm pork cutlet/ katsu bowl so we decided to give it a try. We reached the store around 7pm and queued for an hour plus before securing our seat. The store has limited space with only 12 seats at the U-shaped counter. We were searching for 2D1N stay in Kyoto for our recent trip to Kyoto and finally decided on 22 Pieces. 22 Pieces hotel is in Minami Ward, a neighbourhood in Kyoto, Japan. The hotel is approximately 4 minutes’ walk from Kyoto station.22 Pieces is a 22-room inn that stands quietly in a quiet residential area. A studio-type room with an area of ​​34 to 36 m2 and a kitchen has 3 single beds and 1 sofa bed.
