Jia Yuen Eating House located at 15 Crane Road is a quiet coffeeshop around Joo Chiat vicinity area. The eatery shop is not noticeable as it is nestled among a row of shophouses and opposite residential housing. We were there on Saturday late noon for our lunch and the whole place is dim like closed for business. But we saw there are people having their meals there and went ahead to check it out. 233 Banh Mi previously occupied 233 Joo Chiat Road offering wide range of Vietnamese cuisine has now specialised in selling banh mi (Vietnamese Bread) only. The owner, Lily was there at the cashier counter taking orders and payment when we visited the eatery shop for a quick lunch. The eatery shop space is limited and they only have one row of seating spot, which can only fit 2 pax at one time. Thus, most of the customers will opt for takeaway options.
